Do you want to know what Jesus has done for you?

The Bible describes that every person knows deep down that there is a Creator God to whom you must answer at the end of your life. But we deny it, prefer not to think about it, and "replace the truth of God with the lie." We don't recognize God and don't really want anything to do with Him. That is why there is so much misery in the world and in our lives. You sin against God and you know it.
As a follow-up to this, Romans 1:32 states that "they know the judgment of God, that they that do such things deserve death." So we know that God is just when He makes us who sin deserve death. Every person dies once: “It is ordained for men that they should die once, and after that comes judgment” (in Hebrews 9:27).
Now you can have a lot of arguments that this isn't right and that it's nonsense, or for whatever reason, and I can't talk those out of your head. Hence the earnest question to think about it and realize what it means to have to die and then be judged by a holy God. For that day will surely come:

“because God has appointed a day in which He will judge the world righteously by a Man whom He has appointed.” (Acts 17:31)

“so it is ordained for men that they must die once, and after that comes the judgment. . . .” (Hebrews 9:27)

“So it will be in the day when God will judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 2:16).

But suppose you accept that what God says about your lost condition is true, then the question naturally arises how you can come to terms with the holy and just God. It's the most important question there is! The Bible makes it clear that there is no opportunity or possibility for us humans to 'make amends' with God. The most obvious is that you start doing all kinds of 'good deeds' in the hope that it will outweigh the wrong things in your life. But God is so awesomely holy that even what we call "good deeds" carries no weight to Him. “There is none that does good, not even one” (Romans 3:12).

God's solution: the cross of Christ

The Bible teaches us that the solution to the problem can only come from God Himself! “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” God in His infinite grace has the solution to our sin problem: Jesus Christ! God sent His own Son into this world and He became man: Jesus Christ. He lived as God intended a man to live, but we humans did not chew Him and eventually crucified Him. There, in three long hours, during which the world was shrouded in utter darkness, He suffered the penalty of sin, the judgment of God. What happened there is terrible! He did it because God wants to exonerate anyone from the guilt that invokes that work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

Contract

It's an offer: you and I can't afford the price and have earned the judgment of God. But you must accept the sacrifice Christ has made for yourself! Confess your sins to God and tell Him that you accept the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible calls that turning around, repenting. You then no longer belong to this world, but to the Lord Jesus who died for you, in your place. You “believe in Jesus Christ”, you “believe in the blood” (Romans 3:22,25).

In Christ

If you have accepted the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, then God sees you as connected to Him. God looks at you 'in Christ'. Your sins are forgiven and there is no more damnation (Romans 8:1). The moment you repented, God gave you His Holy Spirit. Now you may grow in the knowledge of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. The food for that is God's Word, the Bible. God's Spirit wants to further clarify God's truth and give you light on your life path.

“FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGINNED SON, THAT WHOLE BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT BE LOST, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE” (John 3:16).
